Updated: Dec 6, 2021

Just across the river Inny where the spring source also arrives lies the St Clether Holy Well Chapel, the largest Holy Well Chapel still intact probably in the U.K. which tells the history, intrigue and magic from stories of maidens and Spring Guardians alive to this day.

It’s a place of pilgrimage that enchants oozing the special magic that dwells in the sacred valley where Saint Clether chose to build his Hermitage. Again a place where reverence to the Holy Waters is a daily occurrence to this day.

Just a few miles in the surrounding area connected by the same source lie stretches of pure watery paradise. The land is awash with myths, legends and tales associated with magical stretches of countryside and shoreline, a clear indication how the land and waters have deeply touched the soul of mankind.
