Local Reverence to Spring Water in Cornwall, the spiritual connection

Updated: Dec 6, 2021

St Nectans Glen is testimony to the spiritual connection of the people to the land, where the river carves its way through the Devonian slate, creating a stunning 60-foot waterfall that punches through a hole of its own making where the water now cascades down into the beautiful ora- laden valley.

This is a place of mystical and spiritual natural beauty revered as a sacred place, where numerous ribbons, crystals, photographs, inscriptions, prayers and other devotions adorn the foliage and rock walls near the waterfall showing how visitors come to revere the waters form the same source as the Spring high in the moors.
